CHIROPRACTIC

Chiropractic is all about optimizing the FUNCTION of your body. Your brain is your master command center, it controls and coordinates all functions of the body by sending messages through the spinal cord. When spinal segments (vertebrae) become misaligned there will be interference with the messages from the brain, this is known as a VERTEBRAL SUBLUXATION, and when present it leads to DYSFUNCTION, usually in the form of pain, headaches, or other symptoms. Chiropractors adjust the spine back into proper alignment allowing the brain to fully communicate with the body, leading to proper function and good health.

DeWitt Chiropractor Cram helps with back pain, neck pain, headaches, migraines, sciatica, numbness

Dr. Cram uses the Gonstead Technique, known as the most comprehensive system of analyzing and specifically adjusting the spine back to proper alignment. Just as a dentist looks for the specific location of the cavity, Dr. Cram looks for the specific location of the vertebral subluxation. To find that specific spot, Dr. Cram uses a device called a nervoscope. This is a thermal detection instrument that discerns heat differentials along the spine consistent with inflammation and nerve pressure. The instrument obtains objective neurological evidence of vertebral subluxation and monitors the progress of patient care. Once the specific location of the vertebral subluxation is known, we need to get the blueprint to find out how to correct it. The only way to know for sure the specific direction the vertebrae has misaligned and the specific way it needs to be corrected is by taking chiropractic x-rays (when appropriate and indicated). After a thorough analysis, Dr. Cram is ready to deliver any needed chiropractic adjustments. The Gonstead Technique takes great care to ensure a mechanically correct position and precise thrust to provide the most accurate adjustment possible. Through this comprehensive and specific approach to analyzing and adjusting the spine, we find that the entire body begins functioning better as a whole.
